The following is the guideline for companies wishing to donate to be included in an Awesome Box:
Companies who donate product will receive a dedicated feature post and reviews on the site. Your product will also be reviewed on both the IS site as well as many blogger’s personal sites. (Indie’s whose product is bought for wholesale to be included in the box will not receive a feature, just reviews.) I only ask that the companies who wish to contribute are in good standing with me, that is, no multiple complaints of poor CS, product issues, or bad attitudes towards other indies (such as snarking or duping products). This project is meant to foster indie growth and support!
Indie Style accepts all different kinds of indie product, not just cosmetics and bath & body. We promote jewelry designers and welcome coupons in lieu of product. Do you sew or crochet? Whip something simple up and offer it along! Launching a new product? Offer it on Indie Style as a preview and generate buzz! The only product I cannot accept is edibles, as these cannot be shipped overseas easily and often take on the taste of other things in the box, like perfume.
You must be willing to donate a quantity of 30 items for boxes, plus a few extras in case of damage for a total of 33-35, and ship the items in a timely manner to IS HQ. We would prefer they arrive on or around the 1st of the month you are to be featured. We promise to do the very best to promote your product the month you are featured in IS.
Shops with expensive items (like jewelry or custom sewn items) can also offer a raffle item. Tickets will be included in the boxes and after they are received the shop will pull a number. The item will be won and sent to the person who had the winning ticket in their box. This will be limited to ONE SHOP a month.
We have a Facebook page (which is the development site right now) as well as Twitter. We hope to extend our reach and gain more followers.
All cosmetics and bath & body products MUST be properly labeled with a full list of ingredients, even samples. The list may be printed on the product or included on a separate insert. Remember, this is the image you want to convey with your shop! Put your best foot forward!
You MUST ensure that everything is properly sealed and wrapped so that it will not break or leak!
A suggested preparation for your donation is 1-3 samples and a business card wrapped or sealed together. You may include other little extras, like wrapped candy, stickers, etc etc. We only require one sample per company, anything else is a generous extra. Keep in mind that not all companies can afford to send much, so please limit the samples to 3 per box.
You are free to donate as many months as you’d like, there is presently no limit on features.
Indie Style does not sell advertising space.
